Featured soloists this evening will be the high school and college division winners of the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble Association’s 20th annual Young Artist Competition. Also on the program will be Elliot Del Borgo’s Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night, based on Dylan Thomas’s poem by the same name, and Roger Nixon’s Fiesta del Pacifico, written for the San Diego Festival which celebrates that city’s Spanish heritage. The Tenth Annual Wesley Teply Community Service Award in the Arts will be presented to a community member who has made a significant contribution to the arts in the Lakeshore area. |
