A message from the Executive Director of the Capitol.       March/April 2008

Jim_WebThe spirit of a community is measured in the strength of the non-profit organizations. The strength comes from the gifts of time, talents and resources of volunteers. The Capitol Civic Centre is blessed with the spirit and generosity of the Manitowoc community. I am profoundly impressed by the community pride reflected in the volunteer contributions to the quality of life for every citizen in Manitowoc.

How do the Centre's staff and board honor volunteerism? The Capitol Civic Centre must fulfill our mission. We are charged with providing high-quality arts services and preserving our community landmark facility, while providing fun and rewarding volunteer opportunities. If you are a current volunteer, we want to hear from you about how your experience can be enhanced. Current volunteers provided more than 7,000 hours of service at the Capitol in 2007. If you are interested in getting involved in the Capitol activities please call and talk to Peggy Krey, Assistant Director.

You and the Capitol Civic Centre together, create a partnership in service to our community. This partnership has far reaching quality of life and economic impact. Thank you for your service and volunteer spirit!

See you in the lobby.
