Yankee Tavern twists and turns its way through a whole host of conspiracy theories surrounding the tragedy of September 11. After the death of his father, Adam inherits the family business, a dive bar in New York City. As he and his fiancé, Janet plan their nuptials, it becomes immediately apparent that Adam’s closest “family” member is a bar fly. As Adam’s father’s former best friend, Ray frequents the pub, where he drinks free for life, spouting any number of ridiculous theories about the JFK assassination, the moon landing, and even weddings. Adam shrugs off Ray’s obsession as laughable, but appears obsessed with the impact that conspiracy theory has on popular opinion. On top of his heavily loaded schedule, Adam faces a rocky path with Janet to the altar, as suspicions of infidelity abound. When a mysterious stranger, Palmer, walks into the bar ordering two Rolling Rocks but only drinking one, it seems something sinister looms over this troubled little community.
