Fun! Fun! Fun!
The Capitol Civic Centre provides more than performances. The Capitol is home to a growing number of youth education classes in the performing arts. The Summer Theatre Arts Camp buzzes with excitement with students ranging from first through eleventh grades. These youth are guided by professional instructors in dance, vocal music and acting in a process-oriented program designed to build confidence and skill. The beauty in the process is that all students may grow as they work together, no matter their skill level. Students are grouped by grade levels. The skills learned create a greater
self-awareness and heightened communication skills. Look for the announcement of the Summer 2010 program.
The Capitol is the place for fourth through sixth graders who love to sing. Master teacher Susie Miller guides the Capitol Kids Choir through the world of music from silly songs to work of the masters. The group of youthful singers have performance opportunities from community events to the Capitol stage. Students learn singing and music skills while having fun with their peers.
You may know a young person who would love to jump into the world of performing arts while benefiting from the guidance of highly skilled professionals. Help us spread the word.
