The numbers also include a piece from the River North Chicago Dance Company called "Caravan." That professional dance company will perform at the Capitol in 2010 as part of the Bank First National Marquee Series for 2009-2010.
The Dancee Awards are three and a half hours of fun, even if your son or daughter isn't a part of the colorful parade of performers on stage. There are still tickets available at the Capitol Box Office. Stop in between 9 and 4:30 Thursday. The Box Office re-opens one hour before the 7pm curtain time in Thursday.

The DANCEE AWARDS are one of the must see performances of the year. Over the years several of the Jean Wolfmeyer's dance students have gone on to make quite a mark in the dance world. For the past two years Amy Fote and Nicholas Leschke of the Houston Ballet have returned to Manitowoc to star in Jean Wolfmeyer's production of 'The Nutcracker." Both got their start in Jean Wolfmeyer's dance studio.
The young performer you see on stage at the Capitol today may become the star performer of a significant dance company tomorrow. And even if they don't, what better way to spend an evening than admiring the artistry of these young dedicated and hard-working performers.
