Who We Are
The Capitol Civic Centre is a 1920s vintage vaudeville theater and movie palace which has been restored by the citizens of Manitowoc County.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Capitol Civic Centre is to preserve, maintain, and operate an architecturally significant historic venue for the enjoyment of performing arts, arts education, and community activities. By respecting legacies of the past, embracing opportunities of the present, and envisioning the changes of tomorrow, the Capitol will uniquely serve and enrich the lives of Lakeshore residents and visitors.
Vision Statement
The Capitol Civic Centre:
Catalyzes and facilitates a variety of live arts & entertainment experiences, cultural and educational programming, and civic activities;
Anchors our extended performing arts community, inspiring the participation and support of present and future generations;
Offers an inviting and experiential destination for locals and visitors to enjoy time and time again;
Contributes significantly to our community’s quality of life, and a vibrant and dynamic downtown.
